What kinds of music do you generally play at your dance events?
Our Bi-annual dance parties are a great way to dance to a variety of music from many different dance genres including Latin, Swing, Argentine Tango, Country Western and Ballroom. Your host and DJ takes music requests for any popular social dance styles.
To dance to one particular genre of music like Swing, Country Western or Latin music all night long, Dance FX Studios’ dance events with live music are the perfect parties. With live, popular Country Western, Swing and Latin dance bands as the featured guest performers on different evenings throughout the year, dancers and music fans can enjoy a night of great tunes to their favorite dance styles.
Do I need to bring a partner to come to your dance events?
You can always come to any of our dance events without a partner. In fact, dance parties are a great way to meet new friends who share a similar interest as you.
How much is the cover charge for your events?
For Bi-annual dance parties, the cover charge is $60 per person and includes a catered meal.

What makes your events different than dancing at other dance studios?
We pride ourselves on creating comfortable and confident social dancers at Dance FX Studios. At our studio, you will learn practical and useful social dance moves that take up very little space, making dancing at weddings and in bars and clubs easy. Unlike many local ballroom dance studios, where big movements and competition dance steps are being taken onto a social dance floor, you will discover the what true social dancing looks like at Dance FX Studios.
What do I wear to the dance events?
Most of our dance events call for dressy casual attire. We want you to be comfortable and wear what you would if you were going out social dancing. Non-restrictive clothing (tight skirts or jeans) can limit movement, so we suggest anything that allows you to dance freely and enjoy yourself. For footwear, you may wear boots or any shoe that has a non-marking sole. Leather or suede bottom shoes are best.
Do I need to reserve space at any of your events or can I just show up?
It is recommended that tickets are purchased online for any of our social events so that we may plan ahead for food, refreshments and giveaways. Some events require pre-registration. Please see details on the event you are interested in for more information.
Are there age restrictions for your guests?
Yes. Dance FX Studios caters to adults. We encourage our guests to use their dancing as a romantic date night opportunity or even a time to let loose with friends. We welcome ages 18+.
How many people on average attend your events?
At Dance FX Studios, we do limit our guest list so that every dancer has a wonderful experience. Depending on the type of event, we accommodate anywhere from 35 to 85 people.
What is included in my cover charge?
Depending on the event, you cover charge may include snacks and refreshments, dancing to a live band or deejayed music, goodie bags with fun giveaways and more! We are always excited to host a great party, so you can count on a fun-filled event with unexpected surprises.
Would you advise new dancers with little or no experience to attend your events?
Always! Dancing is a tremendous way to expand your social circle and learn a new hobby! It is normal to be nervous about attending a dance party, but rest assured that you will be surrounded by a friendly, welcoming group.
