On your consultation, there are a few things that would help us to help you. First, we ask that you show up to your lesson with a list of wedding dance songs that the both of you love. To get the ball rolling, think of your favorite tunes that have meaning to your relationship.  That way, when we help you to narrow down the right song, it can truly be a special dance for your special day. Also, having a song list will be much easier for us because not every song is easily danced to. We want to make sure we are creating a dance that the two of you feel comfortable doing in front of all your friends and family first and foremost.

When it comes to the styles you want to include in your Wedding Dance Choreography, we will give you our professional suggestions based on your song, personalities and overall vision for your wedding. You can keep your first dance sweet and simple with a romantic song that has a lot of meaning, or if you think you and your spouse can handle something a little more “out there” and fun, then you can burst into some silly moves and embarrass yourself (in a good way) and you could end up internet-famous. Depending on which type of dance you decide on and what kind of dancer you are, the variety of packages options that we can provide for you are almost endless, which is exactly why we offer our Wedding Dance Consultation.

As much information as you have regarding the venue and your overall theme is much appreciated. There is no such thing as too many pictures of ideas that you have for your wedding day because we want to make sure everything is flawless for you. If you are having a live band instead of a deejay, we will help you think of a creative way to play your song since there most likely won’t be anywhere for you to just stick a CD into.

We also want to know what type of dress you will be wearing and what type of shoes (plus we love to see all of the beautiful dresses!) so that we can plan your perfect dance around any awkward movements. Depending on your style of dress, we will help you to shine on the dance floor and make you look effortless.

If you have a floor plan of your venue, please also bring that to your Wedding Dance Consultation. This way, we can figure out where each of you can enter from so that your dance faces all of your loved ones.
